Grading the Performance of a Recruiting Department

That’s a question we asked you in ERE’s State of Recruiting Survey.

I can sum up the results in one letter:


OK, so more like B minus.

Using a GPA four-point school (forgetting for a second that some high schools are giving students 4.5 averages on a four-point scale; that’s for another day), 621 people graded the department a B, far more than said A or C.

The results looked like this:

      Is is not incumbent upon recruiters to ensure they understand the positions for which they are recruiting; and if they do not, to connect with hiring managers to get that information?
