The Irish military have launched what is part recruiting advertisement, part video, part game, aimed at bringing in 860 applicants.
The Defence Forces teased this with a preview/trailer like has been done with big video game releases. Now it’s live with an interactive experience that, well, let’s just say that rather than showing you clips of military plans and missions like in a typical recruiting video, immerses you right in there, first-person.
Paul Kehoe, Minister of State at the Department of Defence, says the “campaign is reaching out to potential recruits on platforms that they are accustomed to.”
