Among the new companies in the human resources and recruiting genre: a tool for job-seekers to practice interviews, and a website aimed at screening candidates to better match them with employers.
MockSource is the interview startup. It’s out of Toronto, self-funded with some family investments added in. Launched about three weeks ago, it has five people working on a mentorship site that began when the founders saw (at McMaster University) how hard it was for students going through interviews.
People tell MockSource their interests, and are matched with an interviewer for a 40-minute phone or Skype practice session. Pricing is here.

Another launch, this one planned for today, is Jobularity. It wants to match candidates with employers based on “a company’s mission, culture and ideals.” It uses something called “Zumay,” which is a resume alternative that has video, endorsements, and more.
The Santa Clara, California, company is working on building its database of profiles; in other words, monetizing comes later. It’s funded privately, has eight employees, and is working with several customers in its beta version.
