Networks of Pretenders

I’ll pick on “LinkedIn” since they are the “Kleenex” of networking sites. Actually, I won’t pick on them or Plaxo since they’re in on it now or even ERE.net. I guess don’t have a huge issue with the original intent or idea…My big gripe is with how people use these sites. Today I’ll just send out a huge flame to people I have NEVER heard of in my life sending me invitations to join their network as friends,business associates or whatever category. Maybe they should have a category for “Pitifully Naive Time-waster”. I might accept those. One guy I never heard of said he had over 5500 people on his network. Fantastic! I would then have access to 5500 other people who got as message wondering who the heck this guy is.
