New Job Board Wants Universities to Know How Its Students Are Doing

Screen Shot 2015-03-17 at 10.23.05 AMWhile I was perusing some startups launching — think OnboardIQ, Super, Gradberry, Invisume, InterviewJet — one reader just mentioned to me that, yes, another startup is launching, and it’s a job board.

GradSquare is bootstrapped by two co-founders out of New Orleans.

This one’s geared toward people with advanced degrees, particularly in sciences, engineering, math, but also in areas like economics.

Marco Altamirano, one of the co-founders, says that he hopes to distinguish the site by offering universities some really good analytics about how their graduates are doing.

  1. Todd, thanks for letting us know about this. I think this is a really great idea. Universities often struggle to find good analytics and employer information on their graduates. We’ll have to see how much data GradSquare’s technology is actually able to serve up over time, but the idea behind this sounds like a fantastic “value add” way to separate GradSquare from a market full of copycat job boards. I will be checking them out.
