The Association of Talent Acquisition Professionals (which you read about here) announced the selection of our first Board of Directors last week, a diverse group of practitioners and non-practitioners alike.
The Board members were selected from a list of 120 individuals who self-nominated for consideration. A selection committee led by Gerry Crispin conducted a thorough vetting process where all 120 candidates were contacted personally and interviewed, leading to a short list of over 30 finalists who were invited to complete a three-question video interview. The committee considered this information along with its goal to select a board. The seven selected board members include:

The ATAP leadership team will begin its work immediately to further establish a strong foundation for the organization and to identify ATAPs strategy and priorities. ATAP will serve as a highly inclusive professional body for talent acquisition, with the primary mission of advancing the profession. It will do so by cultivating and curating the profession’s body of knowledge (from which educational, measurement, and ethical standards will be developed), advocating on behalf of the profession, and further developing the talent acquisition community at the local, global, and virtual level.
ATAP is currently aiming for an official launch in early March. For more information and to indicate interest in membership, please visit atapglobal.org.
