A new site showcases the sometimes-forgotten corner of the United States, giving job seekers the choice between living around “Pastures and Farms,” “Brick and Cobblestones,” “Rivers and Falls,” “Rocky Coast,” and “Sandy Beaches.”
A search-firm president, Ed McKersie, launched this new Live + Work in Maine site. Previously, he’d launched JobsinMe, which has a more traditional job-board feel.

This new Live + Work in Maine site is aimed at selling both Maine jobs as well as Maine itself (which apparently is the second-best state to live in). Indeed, it says it’s “not a job board,” instead having profile pages (like this) for employers to market themselves as well as a showcase of “real people who fell in love with Maine.”
