Sneak Peek at the Week Ahead

Here is what is going on around the ERE.net world this week:

  • For those of you interested in the exciting social recruiting trend, check out our newest site SocialRecruiting.com. We’re trying out crowdsourcing the site by sharing, commenting and rating articles and blog posts dealing with this exciting topic. After last month’s sold out summit, this is another way to continue the conversation and share information with your fellow community members. Check it out and let us know what you think. And feel free to submit articles you find interesting on the topic.
  • Speaking of social recruiting, in addition to several other sessions already planned on the topic at the upcoming ERE Expo 2009 Fall conference, we just added a closing panel discussion led by Susan Burns, and featuring recruiters from Intel, Sodexo, Adidas, and DaVita. Remember that as an ERE subscriber you can receive a $200 discount off the registration fee for the conference taking place from September 9 – 11 in Hollywood, FL. Just use product code FL09ERE when you register online.
  • John Zappe will take a look an unorthodox way one job board is getting exposure and buzz. It’s just one of a long list of new items that’ll appear on the site this week. To keep up, sign up for the daily newsletter, if you haven’t yet.
  • For those of you on the search and placement side of the business, mark your calender for June 9-11 of next year for Fordyce Forum 2010 in Las Vegas. And if you are ready to register now, you can take advantage of savings of over 45% of the registration fee.

Have a great week and feel free to leave any questions you have in the comments section below.
