Why Go to ERE’s Chicago Conference? Part 4

ere-falllogo-facebookHaving talked about the choosing of speakers, the focus on recruiting leaders, and the roundtables, I want to mention another reason to go to Chicago: the amazing list of companies attending.

The list of attendees’ employers are like a who’s-who of the corporate world. Their companies include Disney, GE, Starbucks, PepsiCo (and Coca-Cola), Krispy Kreme, Walgreen, HP (and IBM), Pep Boys, and one of my favorites: the Cheesecake Factory.

Non-profits, governments, and simply smaller and lesser-known companies are represented too.

Once again, this event is shaping up to be a global gathering as well. Among the countries represented at the event: Australia, Canada, the UK, Germany, India, Qatar, South Africa, and the U.S.

A glance at the titles of people coming is also interesting: we have a sharp increase in the percentage of people in leadership roles when you compare the fall 2013 attendee list to the fall 2012 attendee list. Some fun stats:

2013 vs. 2012

  • 46% growth in total number of recruiting & HR attendees
  • 72% growth in number of companies represented by the recruiting & HR attendees
  • 82% growth in the recruiting/HR attendees at manager level & above
  • 67% of are in-house recruiting & HR leaders, compared to 39% in 2012

All in all, it’s a great opportunity to meet a lot of movers and shakers from a wide variety of firms, most in the U.S. but some halfway around the world.

I hope you can sign up to see for yourself why ERE is really a can’t miss event for in-house recruiting leaders.
